Moving the toilet in our bathroom remodel, is it worth the hassle?
We're redoing our bathroom and the current layout wastes a huge amount of space because the toilet sits right in the middle of the room. I want to move it to the corner but I've been told that relocating a toilet is a plumbing nightmare because of the drain and venting. I found https://kitchenbathpaloalto.com/how-to-plan-plumbing-for-a-kitchen-or-bathroom-remodel/ while trying to work out whether it's even possible, and it did explain how drain runs and venting work, which helped me understand why it's complicated, but I'd rather hear from people who've actually done it. Has anyone here moved a toilet and found it was manageable, or did it turn into a much bigger job than expected? And is there a way to know before we commit whether it's feasible or should we just work around the existing position?
