My Mini has always had a firm ride but lately it feels jittery and almost skittish over small bumps, like it's not settling properly. It's a 2018 Cooper and I've only had it about a year so I'm not sure if this is just how they are or if something's failing. I read a Leading guide to Mini Cooper suspension troubles and causes and it mentioned worn bushings and tired dampers as common culprits on these cars, which got me thinking. Has anyone had their Mini start feeling worse over time? Did a suspension refresh bring back the composure or is the jittery feel just part of the character? I'd rather know before I start spending money on guesswork.
