Garages in ICAD keep giving me different stories about my 3.6, who's actually right?
Took my Wrangler in for a misfire at idle and came away more confused than when I went in. One garage said ignition coils, another said it was nothing and just cleared the codes, and neither explained why it was happening in the first place. I'm in ICAD so both were close by, which is handy but clearly not enough on its own. A mate mentioned he found Quality repair advice for Jeep Pentastar engine trouble in ICAD when his Grand Cherokee started playing up, and it helped him ask better questions instead of just nodding along. That's what I want, to actually understand what's going on rather than being told what to think. Has anyone here had a similar runaround? How did you decide which garage to trust, and did asking more questions actually help or did it just annoy them?
