We're moving our small operation from Dubai to a cheaper unit in Sharjah Industrial Area and I'm trying to get my head around the storage side before we relocate. We keep a handful of IBCs of solvents and I've been told the rules differ between emirates, which is making me nervous because I don't want to set up somewhere and find out we're non compliant after the fact. I've been reading up on hazardous chemical storage rules in Sharjah but the information is patchy and half of it is from suppliers trying to sell me something. Has anyone here gone through this in Sharjah specifically? What did you actually need in place, and was the inspection process straightforward or did they pick up on things you hadn't considered?
